The Investigative Committee of Russia has brought a final charge against Daria Trepova in the case of an explosion in a cafe in St. Petersburg, which killed the “military commander” Vladlen Tatarsky. This was declared by the head of the TFR Alexander Bastrykin on Tuesday July 25 in an interview with the RIA Novosti agency.
According to him, the young girl is accused of having “committed a terrorist act, trafficking in explosive devices and forgery in writing”. He said that the organization of the terrorist attack, which resulted in the death of a Russian “war correspondent”, was carried out by people who were in Ukraine, who recruited Trepova via social networks.
The investigation concluded that Trepova knew about the bomb in the statuette Tatarsky gave her. According to the girl, she believed that a tracking device was hidden in the figure. Bastrykin noted that during the investigation about 200 examinations were carried out, about 400 people were interviewed and 85 people were recognized as victims.
On April 2, an explosion occurred in a cafe on the Universitetskaya embankment in St. Petersburg during a “creative evening” of the “military officer” Tatarsky. Investigators say the figurine Trepova, 26, presented to Tatarsky exploded. He himself died, more than 30 people were injured.
