The perpetrator of the attack on the Turkish House (Türkevi) in New York was arrested during an American police operation.

According to information obtained by Anadolu on Friday, the author was arrested by New York police very early in the morning.

Turkey House, which houses the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the United Nations (UN) and the Consulate General, was attacked by the respondent on May 22 at 03:14 local time.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation continues to determine the reasons for the attack.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on the US authorities to find “the terrorist who broke the windows of Turku, as Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu demanded sufficient protection for all representations.”

Turkey House is located opposite the United Nations building in New York.
