Volante was not on the field against Audax Italiano in Chile
Santos began this Friday the preparation for the duel against RB Bragantino, for the 8th round of the Brasileirão. Peixe is looking for the three points in the national competition after the controversial defeat against Audax Italiano, in the Sul-Americana. Spared from the last round, Dodi is back in the starting lineup against Massa Bruta and ignores past events to focus on the next match.
– I don’t even need to say much about how the match went there in Chile. Unfortunately the team didn’t get the win, but now it’s time to turn the key, since we already have a complicated match against Bragantino on Sunday. We’ve come in a big streak of matches, so Lucas and I had this week to do more specific strength work and look for recovery after wear and tear. Now it’s time to get back well to help my teammates on Sunday. It will be a very complicated match away from home, but we are well prepared to score those three points,” said the midfielder.
In the duel Santos will experience a taboo against Bragantino. It has been since 2018 that Alvinegro Praiano has not been defeated by Massa Bruta. Particularly at Nabi Abi Chedid, Peixe hasn’t lost against the Bragança Paulista team since 2011. Without worrying about the retrospective, the athlete projects a complicated challenge in front of him.
