Last Saturday, Portuguesa announced the departure of four more players from the squad that played in the Campeonato Paulista. They are midfielder Gustavo Bochecha and striker Richard, who were loaned to Lusa and returned respectively to Coritiba and CRB, and Gustavo Ramos and Lucas Venuto, who have been signed on for the state dispute, but who will not remain in the team.

In their first participation in the Paulista elite since 2015, the traditional São Paulo club hasn’t had it easy and even fought against relegation, saving themselves in the last round by beating Mirassol 2-1 and counting on the stumbles of São Bento and Ferroviária. Lusa, therefore, finished State in 14th place in the overall standings, with 10 points in 12 games.
