Diesel climbs again in November at gas stations in Brazil, says Ticket Log

The average price of diesel at gas stations in Brazil is rising again after three consecutive months of declines, according to the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a brand for fleet management and mobility solutions from Edenred Brasil.

A few days before the end of the month, the average price of a liter of ordinary diesel rose by 0.8% at stations, to 7.02 reais per litre. If compared with the average in November last year, which was 5.61 reais per litre, the increase reaches 25%.

With the S-10 diesel, the high variations followed the same trend, sold at 7.11 reais, compared to 7.06 reais in October.

“With the exception of the Southeast Region, gas stations have returned to growth in almost all of the country,” said Douglas Pina, general manager of Mobility of Edenred Brasil.

“When we analyzed the first half of November, we already identified this price advance behavior, which is confirmed at the end of the month, with Sergipe having the greatest change, which was 3.38% for the common type, and Ceará del 2.64% for S-10.”

In the southeast, common diesel fell by 0.13% – compared to the end of October – to 6.67 reais, while S-10 remained stable, sold at 6.80 reais. The North Region leads with the highest values for fuel, with the common type at 7.44 reais (+0.94%) and the S-10 at 7.543 reais (+1.09%).

The IPTL is calculated on the basis of refueling carried out at the 21,000 Ticket Log accredited service stations.
