The farewell version of the Volkswagen Gol had only 650 units destined for the domestic market; orders are no longer accepted
The Volkswagen Gol Last Edition, a farewell version of the veteran model, went on presale this Wednesday 23, and the few units available were sold out. Anyone who accesses the carmaker’s website will also see pictures of the model, but will no longer be able to order it.
Now, those wanting to buy a unit will have to wait until early next year when the VW Gol Last Edition finally starts shipping and hope for some dropouts. It is worth mentioning that the version had an announced price of R$ 95,990 and the “lucky” consumers who managed to order a car had to pay a deposit of R$ 5,000 to guarantee their copy. Another option is to wait for the arrival of Polo Track, who will have the difficult task of replacing the veteran Gol.
A detail revealed by the Motor1 site is that although production is limited to 1,000 units (according to the manufacturer), only 650 units were destined for the Brazilian market. The rest was for consumers in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
There is also the alternative of buying a “regular” VW Gol, as the veteran model is still available on the manufacturer’s website for prices starting at R $ 78,160. Volkswagen, by the way, had previously stated that the Gol would end its production only at the end of this year, when it will make way for the long-awaited Polo Track.
